VENICE WORKSHOP - 06 - 08 December 2019

Join me for three days shooting one of the most inspiring and photogenic cities in the world.  We will visit many of the iconic locations that Venice has to offer, in addition we will explore some of the less well known areas that lend themselves well to fine art minimalist photography.

We will be staying in the heart of Venice close to Piazza San Marco in a newly refurbished hotel that is owned by a pastry shop that dates back to the 1800s. The location will allow us to easily access the locations that form the basis of the itinerary.

Each day will begin just before sunrise and finish just after sunset to maximise the amount of shooting time available.  After the morning shoot we will return to the hotel for breakfast and a little downtime to recharge batteries and refresh ourselves.

The workshop officially begins on Friday 6th December and concludes after the sunset shoot on Sunday 8th December.  It would be great if you could join me for a sunset shoot the evening before the workshop begins and for dinner that evening so we may get acquainted.

The workshop is limited to 6 participants, a deposit of £250 is required to secure your place and the balance is due 15th October.  The prices shown below includes accommodation and breakfast for; Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

£950 - this includes the price of the workshop and a Standard Double Room for 4 nights, with single occupancy (broken down this is £500 for the workshop and £450 for the accommodation)

During the workshop you will learn how to; use manual exposure, calculate exposures when using neutral density filters (and grads if you use them), how to read the histogram to maximise the exposure, help with improving your compositions, which lens to use and when, the use of tilt shift lenses (if you have them) and much more.

All participants will need the following; a camera that has bulb mode, a sturdy tripod, a remote shutter release and neutral density filters, plus nd grads if you use them.  The following neutral density filter strengths will be of benefit to use at different times of the day to avoid having to shoot for longer periods than necessary, a: 3 stop, 6 stop and 10 stop filters.
